## 1. Acceptance
By downloading or using SignalPlanner ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Use of the App is also subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service.
---
## 2. Licence
LocStat Consulting grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for personal or professional planning purposes, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service.
You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or distribute the App or any part of it.
---
## 3. Nature of Predictions — Important Disclaimer
SignalPlanner produces RF coverage maps and point-to-point link estimates using established propagation models (ITM/Longley-Rice, Hata, COST-231, free-space path loss, and related methods). These outputs are planning estimates only.
You must understand and accept the following before using any output for real-world decisions:
- Propagation predictions are probabilistic. Real-world RF performance depends on terrain data accuracy, local obstructions, atmospheric conditions, antenna calibration, interference, and many other factors that the models do not or cannot fully account for.
- Terrain elevation data is sourced from SRTM (90 m resolution) or the Open-Elevation API and may not reflect current ground conditions, vegetation, or man-made structures.
- Landcover data, where used, is derived from ESA WorldCover and is provided on a best-effort basis.
- The link budget calculations assume idealised antenna patterns and do not model multipath fading, interference, regulatory constraints, or equipment-specific characteristics.
SignalPlanner outputs must not be used as the sole basis for:
- Safety-critical communications infrastructure (emergency services, aviation, maritime, or military systems)
- Regulatory compliance or spectrum licence applications
- Civil or structural engineering decisions
- Any application where failure of a radio link could result in injury, loss of life, or significant property damage
For such applications, engage a licensed RF or telecommunications engineer to conduct a formal site survey and propagation study.

## 4. No Warranty
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. LocStat Consulting does not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any particular result will be achieved.
---
## 5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LocStat Consulting shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App or any outputs it produces. This includes but is not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or harm resulting from reliance on coverage predictions.
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitation of liability, the above limitations apply to the greatest extent permitted by law.
---
## 6. In-App Purchases
SignalPlanner offers an optional Pro upgrade as a non-consumable in-app purchase, processed by Apple. All sales are final unless Apple's refund policy applies. The developer reserves the right to change pricing or features at any time with reasonable notice.
Restoring purchases is supported and can be done from RF Global Settings → Purchases → Restore Purchases.
---
## 7. Third-Party Services
The App may query the Open-Elevation API (open-elevation.com) for terrain elevation data. This service is operated independently of the developer. The developer is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or terms of this service. Use of that service is subject to its own terms.
---
## 8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App:
- To plan or support any unlawful radio transmission or interference with licensed spectrum.
- In violation of any applicable laws or regulations governing radio communications in your jurisdiction.
- To circumvent or attempt to circumvent the trial or purchase system.
---
## 9. Updates and Changes
The developer may update the App and these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the current Terms.
---
## 10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta, Canada.
